NARS Glossybox Limited Edition

"The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right place… but to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment."
- Dorothy Nevill

Sorry for being quiet for awhile. I am going back to my regular Saturday/ Sunday posting (hopefully more often) and wanted to start with the exciting NARS Glossybox I managed to get my hands on while hiding in the cafe at work. I was more than excited when I heard about this collaboration because NARS has always been on my radar but I never really got to trying the stuff I wanted and this box was an awesome opportunity to do so. They only had 3000 boxes for sale and the price was £35 for non-subscribers and £30 for subscribers. Unfortunately, it was sold out in about 10 min but keep your eyes peeled for similar Glossybox collabs.

To start with it, it contains a mini version of it's most famous product ever - NARS Orgasm Blush. Firstly, let me say how much I love the sleek rubbery black NARS packaging, I think no other brand can beat that, it's right up my street. As for the blush itself, it is a beautiful pinky gold which I bet will look amazing on me when I'm a bit more tanned. The only problem I've always had with it is that it's a bit glittery. It has those large gold glitter bits, which I am not too sure I want on my face. Will have to report back after I've used it a bit more...

And here comes the product I was most excited about though - NARS Matte Multiple in Orgasm (swatch below, mini size). I don't know why they'd put the same shade of the multiple but I am quite happy they did because this cream version does not have the mentioned glitter so it seems to me I will prefer it to the powder blush. It's a gorgeous shade, which will suit many skin tones.

The NARS Lip Pencils were the other thing I was lusting over. I got the shade Rekugien in the box (swatch above), which is beautiful, creamy, everyday nude and looks amazing in combination with the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob, which I've been raving about. The two create the perfect everyday lip combo. I just knew this product wouldn't disappoint and I'll definitely be going to the counter for more shades (and Christmas is coming people, so those concerned know where to go!).

The NARS Audacious Mascara (mini) has a lovely packaging and does the job perfectly fine despite the plastic brush, which I am usually not a big fan of. This mascara feels heavy and expensive but I don't know if I'd go a buy a full size of it just because of that. I have a bunch of other drugstore mascaras which don't have the fancy packaging but have the same effect on my lashes. So I'll enjoy this one while it lasts...

Last but not least is the NARS Larger Than Life Eyeliner. Again, very expensive feel but does the same job as the bazillion eyeliners that I've got (it's a pencil, to be precise). Maybe I will least excited about this one because I have already found a couple very good and affordable eye pencils (the Topshop eye kohl, for instance) and I wouldn't be fond of spending around 20 quid for a new one.

This was my early Christmas present to myself. I suggest you stay tuned for more Limited Edition Glossyboxes because it's a great way to try out things and believe me, the excitement when you receive it is real!

Thanks for reading!
